A Conference in Tripoli Discusses the Implications of the Political Division of the Country
A conference was held on Saturday June 13, 2015 in Tripoli, to discuss the political division of the institutions of the State and its impacts.
The symposium dealt with the consequences of the current political division, and access to the means of containing those consequences and mitigation of the effects of the political, security, economic and social division.
The Chairman of LOOPS Dr. Awad Ibrahim, in an interview with Ajwa Net said "The purpose of this conference is to discuss the social and economic Implications of the current political division, on state institutions, and to search for a solution to everyday problems of citizens in case of a delay in forming a government of national reconciliation.
In the conference four papers were presented. The first paper was presented by Dr. Ahmed Alatrash about exploring the political and security Scene, and determines the direction of the political stampede as well as possible scenarios. The second paper was presented by Dr. Awad Ibrahim about monitoring and analyzing the implications of political division on the state institutions and possible alternatives to contain them.
The third paper was presented by Mr. Alsonusi Bsikri about the impact of political division on economic activities and looking for solutions to reduce it.
The forth paper was presented by Ms. Majada Alarbi about the risks of the split on the Social solidity, and discuss mechanisms for dealing with it or reduce its effects. This conference was organized by the Libyan Organization Of Policies & Strategies “LOOPS” in cooperation with the Libyan Centre for Research and Development.
